Ever have one of those days where everything that can go wrong does? Well, that was my day
yesterday. It started out good, I'll admit that; I mean, it was a Sunday, and Mother's Day
to boot. But then around 1:30 in the afternoon it all went downhill - that was when I started
sneezing. I have never ever in my life had allergies until this year. For all of
you who have always wondered what they felt like (I used to be you), they are awful!! My
nose gets all congested and starts to run, then I start sneezing uncontrollably because my nose
is being tickled, then my eyes start to itch so I rub them, then they get all inflamed... Let me
tell you, it's HORRIBLE.
To top it on that, I realized at 4:00 that I had an article due at 7:00 for our school newspaper
and I hadn't even started it yet!! I had promised myself I wouldn't slack on this article, but
guess who was running around her dorm looking for people to interview? You guessed it, yours
truly the most unorganized pseudo-journalist out there. What was worse, I had to be at work by
6:30 so I didn't have a full three hours to write the story.
What's so difficult about writing a paper, you ask. Well, I'm a writer; I've stated that fact
before. However, when I'm forced to write it takes me a lot longer than when I write off the top
of my head. For example, this 591-word paper took me three hours to write, while when I write
that much in my stories it takes me less than half an hour!
Alright, I suppose my day wasn't all that bad, but my nose sure took a beating from using those
coarse hand towels (I ran out of Kleenex about a month ago from a similar episode) and I just
felt crappy for the whole day.
Today's link is going to be Moyra's Web
Jewels. I've been at this page for as long as I can remember, and I have to say that it's
definitely one of the prettier sites on the net! She does background designs for web pages, and
she has some very awesome things there!! If you aren't certain about what to put as your
background or how to decorate your web page (I just go all black; serves me well), I'd suggest
trying out her designs.
