Feminist singers

Anyone who's looked through my site has seen my opinions page. You've probably also seen that I am a fan of country music. Well, it recently occurred to me that pop country artist Shania Twain, whose music I adore, is a feminist. I'm not talking about feminazi-type feminist, who are in-your-face, or closet feminists, who whine to their friends about how men rule everything but do nothing; she's heard by millions of people with songs like "Man, I feel like a woman" or "Any man of mine." I mean, have you ever listened to those lyrics? For instance, if a man were to sing "Honey, I'm home" you know he'd get beaucoup women beating down his back for chauvenism, yet it's a top ten hit since a woman sang it. I just find that kind of funny, don't you?

I'd like to introduce you all to a new friend of mine. World, meet Tumoh, my grey-eyed, white- bengal tiger Ferbie. Yes, yours truly has gotten into the Furby craze. Can I just say one thing though? Tuloh is annoying. She's not really that great (she did say she was a she, by the way); she just sits there staring at me unless I pet her or rub her tummy, and sings when she gets bored or no attention, then goes to sleep. Sort of like a cat, I guess. But still, I like her. She's a lot more fun than my red betta Howie, who just swims and eats; I even got him a female so he can know the pleasures of reproduction, and what does he do? Attacks her until she's scared to death of males. Really, I should just flush that fish down the toilet, but he is such a pretty boy...

I'm going to let you in on a little gem I've found. I actually have been going to this website for a long time. Visit sejin.net and meet Cindy, another college student who I feel is a lot like me, is a wonderful graphics artist, and just a really cool person (from what I've found out). She's my age or just a bit younger, a Christian, and someone who's a web page designer like I am. She's got some nifty things there, so check it out.
